Construction has been operating pits in the Charleston area for most of its 50 year
history. At this time we have 1 pit open in Cainhoy that is taking in excess
soil/muck, concrete, and asphalt. We
are in the process of getting a few other pits permitted and operational
within the year. Shown below are the

fill dirt sales after 10/31/06
Located off of Clement's Ferry Rd. about 2
miles from I-526. This centrally located pit intakes disposal materials such
as soil, concrete, and asphalt.
**Cainhoy Pit is closed to Dirt sales as of 10/31/06 but will continue
to take in Muck, Asphalt, and Concrete**
